Today I’ve created a cute turtle mani in different blue shades and textures. I’ve also embellished the mani with a little turtle made of Fimo. Read the rest of this entry
piCture pOlish “Electric Dream” and my candy
“Electric Dream” from piCture pOlish is a bright candy pink that goes perfectly with the pink Crazy sours Skittles 😀 2 coats are enough IRL but I see now for the pictures it would have been better with 3 coats.
Of course I couldn’t leave my mani plain so I re-did my ring finger with “Coral Reef” as a base and added a cyclone vinyl from Twinkled T and a coat of “Holiday” on top. All polishes are from piCture pOlish.
Holiday is a gorgeous holo glitter/flakie topper that adds sparks to every mani 🙂
I’m sorry that I haven’t posted as much lately but it’s been crazy busy at work and I haven’t really got the time to write blog posts, but if you follow me on Instagram you could see my daily manis there at least. You can find me as @nillanpillan 😉
It’s soon Valentine’s day and I thought it was time for some pink nails 🙂
This is Hare Polish “For the love of Lisa”, a gorgeous pink jelly with different sizes of matte glitter and also iridescent flakies! This is so gorgeous! This is the first polish from Hare Polish I try and I’m not disappointed 🙂 I ordered three bottles when Nicole had a restock in her Etsy shop. The best way to find out when she restocks is to follow Hare Polish on either Instagram or Facebook.
For this mani I painted three thin coats of “For the love of Lisa” and for my accent I first painted two coats of a plain pink (“Bubblegum Pink” from Apolosophy). I applied fast drying top coat on my ring finger, waited 20-25 minutes for it to dry and then applied swirl vinyls from Twinkled T, painted a fairly thick coat of “For the love of Lisa” and immediately removed the vinyls. After a while I applied top coat.
“For the love of Lisa” dries semi-matte. I first applied “Glitter Food Top Coat” from Nail Pattern Boldness to even out the texture and then my favorite Glisten & Glow “HK Girl Fast drying top coat”.
So I called this post “Geisha nails” but actually the water decal isn’t really showing a geisha, I think it’s a traditional picture of a Chinese woman. Sorry about the mix up.
Tuesday means textured polish according to some of my nail friends on IG and I try to join them as often as I can. For this week I have a peachy nude textured polish from Korean Etude House. This polish I got in an awesome nail mail from a Japanese friend from IG, I think IG is fantastic, I’ve “met” so many fantastic people there ❤
Etude House is a new brand to me, I couldn’t figure out the name of this polish, it has only asian letters on the label 😀 Anyway, it’s a gorgeous peachy nude with some light texture. Two coats is enough and the drying time is fast.
For my accent I decided to try on a cute Geisha water decal I bought from Born Pretty Store. As a base I have two coats of Maybelline Color Show “Grey Beats”. I let the water decal dry a little before I added top coat. I think this design turned out quite nice although this color might suit me a bit better in summer when I’m tanned …
Matte nails are going to be big this spring. ESSIE is releasing a matte collection (I’ve ordered 4 out of 6 shades of the collection “Cashmere Matte”) and of course some dear indie brands are going to rock matte polishes. You’re gonna see a lot of matte manis from me in the future.
Today I’m gonna show you one of the polishes I got by mail from a dear friend in southern Europe. She was visiting Germany recently and bought a lot of polishes and some were for me ❤ How awesome is that!?!
I got three shades of P2 polishes and one KIKO. Neither P2 or KIKO are sold in Sweden so this is double fun! I’ve chosen the wine red P2 polish with the name “Dresscode: Trendy”. Its finish is “leather matte”which dries to a slightly textured matte finish. Two coats and no top coat.
The playing card charm on my ring finger is from Twinkled T. I used nail glue to attach it to the nail.
I really like how this looks. The color is a very classy shade but the texture adds something new too the look and then ofc I like my little playing card charm. Hope you like them too.
TGIF! I just love Fridays ❤ The work week is done, yay! Today it’s gonna be a pink Friday – I think pink is very suitable for Fridays, pink is party, fun and girlie so today’s mani is very PINK, you could almost call it Barbie pink.
For this mani I have used two untried polishes, the pink glitter from Dollish Polish “It’s so fluffy, I’m gonna die!” I bought almost a year ago but haven’t worn it. I have paired it with OPI “Suzi has a Swede tooth”. I’ve also used flat back pearls for decoration.
“It’s so fluffy, I’m gonna die!” (ISFIGD) is a light pink glitter polish, the glitters settles in the bottle and you have to put the bottle upside down for a while before you paint. I also put some polish on a bit of paper and fished out the bigger glitters and have placed them on the nails here and there to even out the glitter spread. I have three thin coats on the pictures plus top coat.
“Suzi has a Swede tooth” (SHAST) is a bright blue toned pink that becomes opaque with two coats, maybe even one if you’re careful.
This is a fun, bright and very girlie manicure, I hope you’ll like it!!
