Today I’ve created a cute turtle mani in different blue shades and textures. I’ve also embellished the mani with a little turtle made of Fimo. Read the rest of this entry
Today I have a deep blue stunning polish to show you. This is “The Mercury” from the Japanese brand Estessimo TinS. I’ve got this polish as a gift from my sweet Japanese friend on Instagram.
All nail polishes from Estessimo TinS are infused with avocado oil as emolliant and aloe extract as moisturizer. They are also Toluene and DBP free. You can find Estessimo TinS online at Mei Mei’s Signatures.
The Mercury is a deep blue infused with holographic glitters in different sizes. It dries textured due to the heavy amount of glitter so for a glossy finish you’ll need to add top coat. Today I wanted the textured finish so I skipped the t.c.
On my ring finger I added some bubbles. I used Mundo de Unãs “Lavender” and a Vivid Lacquer plate.
So I called this post “Geisha nails” but actually the water decal isn’t really showing a geisha, I think it’s a traditional picture of a Chinese woman. Sorry about the mix up.
Tuesday means textured polish according to some of my nail friends on IG and I try to join them as often as I can. For this week I have a peachy nude textured polish from Korean Etude House. This polish I got in an awesome nail mail from a Japanese friend from IG, I think IG is fantastic, I’ve “met” so many fantastic people there ❤
Etude House is a new brand to me, I couldn’t figure out the name of this polish, it has only asian letters on the label 😀 Anyway, it’s a gorgeous peachy nude with some light texture. Two coats is enough and the drying time is fast.
For my accent I decided to try on a cute Geisha water decal I bought from Born Pretty Store. As a base I have two coats of Maybelline Color Show “Grey Beats”. I let the water decal dry a little before I added top coat. I think this design turned out quite nice although this color might suit me a bit better in summer when I’m tanned …
It’s time for “texture Tuesday” and today I’ve done a purple skittlette with Isadora “Fresh Linen” (from their new spring collection) on my pinkie and thumb, textured “Cotton Candy”, also from Isadora, on my long finger and pointer and Make Up Store “Lina” on my ring finger where I also placed a bow (bought from Light in the Box).
I just love how this mani turned out ❤ It’s cute and girly, and yes, sometimes I like it girly even though I’m over 40 years old(!) I guess the girl in me never disappears *lol*
I love how the different purples complement each other. I like doing skittlettes, it’s a fun way wearing more than one nail polish in the same mani 🙂
I don’t know if you see that I’ve got a slightly different nail shape? I’ve filed them more rounded. Maybe I’m going for a more almond shape in the future?! The main reason for changing my squovals into this is that I had difficulty writing on the keyboard, and as I work as a secretary that’s not a good thing. So, what do you think of the new shape?
Matte nails are going to be big this spring. ESSIE is releasing a matte collection (I’ve ordered 4 out of 6 shades of the collection “Cashmere Matte”) and of course some dear indie brands are going to rock matte polishes. You’re gonna see a lot of matte manis from me in the future.
Today I’m gonna show you one of the polishes I got by mail from a dear friend in southern Europe. She was visiting Germany recently and bought a lot of polishes and some were for me ❤ How awesome is that!?!
I got three shades of P2 polishes and one KIKO. Neither P2 or KIKO are sold in Sweden so this is double fun! I’ve chosen the wine red P2 polish with the name “Dresscode: Trendy”. Its finish is “leather matte”which dries to a slightly textured matte finish. Two coats and no top coat.
The playing card charm on my ring finger is from Twinkled T. I used nail glue to attach it to the nail.
I really like how this looks. The color is a very classy shade but the texture adds something new too the look and then ofc I like my little playing card charm. Hope you like them too.
This polish has a very suitable name – Chameleon Crush – because it’s many colors in one polish! It’s grey, blue, purple and gold. A true chameleon. It’s from Isadoras textured collection “Sugar Crush”. I bought this polish recently when I was browsing around the Internet It came out 2012 I think but some shops still have it in stock 🙂
Now it’s time to think about what to wear for New Years Eve … I promise, you will not be disappointed, it’s gonna be sparkling!!
